Akmio

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

Akmio is an app for learning English words with Tajik translations. It requires no account, and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number. This page explains what the app and the third-party services it uses collect.

Data that stays on your phone

Your learning progress — which words you have learned, your streak counts and your app settings — is stored only on the device. We do not upload it to a server and we have no access to it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Google Firebase Analytics

To understand how the app is used, we use Google Analytics for Firebase. It collects aggregate usage data:

  • Usage events
app opens, practice sessions started, words learned and similar — never the content of your answers.
  • Device data
device model, Android version, language and country.
  • App instance ID
a random identifier for the app installation, not tied to your identity.

Firebase Crashlytics

If the app crashes, Crashlytics sends a technical report so we can fix the fault. The report contains device data, the app version and where in the code the crash occurred. Your learning progress and word data are not included.

Google AdMob

The app shows advertising, served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s Advertising ID and general device data to select ads and count impressions.

On Android you can delete the Advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation under Settings → Privacy → Ads. Google’s own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Yandex Ads

Some advertising is also served through the Yandex advertising network (ads.yandex.com/monetization). Like AdMob, it may use your device’s Advertising ID, general device data and IP address to select ads, count impressions and prevent fraud.

You can delete the Advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation under Settings → Privacy → Ads. Yandex’s own privacy policy is at yandex.com/legal/confidential.

Audio and pronunciation

Words are spoken using Android’s built-in text-to-speech service. The app does not use the microphone and makes no recordings.

Permissions

The app asks only for notification permission, so it can tell you when a word has been learned. You can turn it off at any time in your phone settings. The app has no access to your contacts, location, photos or files.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
